Part whimsical, circus-inspired folk music, part radiating, anywhere-but-here soul music. Carrie Clark has a keen eye for the telling detail and quirks of human nature. Not just curious events, but the gamut of emotions brought to the fore by challenges both large and small, and how our voices, faces and body language reflect different sentiments. Clark finds people endlessly fascinating, and all her songs dwell on human foibles with a musical style that can only be called her own. Carrie's fourth independent release, Between the Bed Sheets and Turpentine, features her backing band, the Lonesome Lovers, and production by Seattle's, Martin Feveyear. This latest project maintains her infectious energy and boasts the fullest sound and most fully realized arrangements in her catalog yet.
