  My compliments to the young cast, it's difficult to sing and act act the same time and they did a good job. Unfortunately I think it would have taken a five star cast to make this a great play -the script lies it on a bit thick at the end and is focused on using the songs to tell us how people feel rather than using acting to show us. I think if they were in a play with just acting they would have nailed it but, with some exceptions, the singing fell just short of conveying the level of emotion desired. I enjoyed the play, it got a standing ovation, and anyone who has gone through those experiences is apt to find it, in the words of a friend "very powerful," but for me it failed to have the emotional impact it was trying for. 3 of 5 stars.
